A contemporary citadel in a natural setting.
The municipality Buren was created by merging several smaller municipalities. More office space was therefore required at a central location. That is why the city commissioned the design and construction of a new town hall. This beautiful building, which fits nicely into this historic environment, stands on the edge of the village of Maurik. It is surrounded by a beautiful new park, built for the people of Buren, partly on the last stretch of the Korne tributary that turns towards Maurik in the Mauriksche Wetering (another stream).
